John Rogers imported *Serafix into the United States from England in 1954. *Serafix sired more than 30 National winners. He had 271 registerd progeny and was the grandfather of 4976 purebred Arabian Horses.
His Daughters where US National Champion and Reserve at halter in 1962, and others would go on to produce many more champions. Carinosa was the dam of Khari Mia and Khari, Cerise was the High Hopes mother, Jalana is the dam of GG Jabask. The daughters Chloette, Magic Genii, Serinne, the dam of Serinask, and the full sisters Virgina Belle and Virginia Dare out of Sedi Jedjur would join SX Bint Cobah, Sx La Quinta and SX Geniis Glory, her full sister out of Indian Genii, Sx Geniis Pride.
*Serafix also sired many sons that would carry on his legacy. Sx Challenger and SX Saladin both out of the legendary mare Cobah, The imported spanish mare *Yamina bred to *Serafix produced SX Conquistador and SX Coronado. Other important sons were Witefix out of Witeza, Sharcoal out of Bishara, Seraj out of Silver Crystal who was also the dam of Mujahid, the first National Champion Halter Stallion in the US in 1958. The great moving stallion royal Gran d and his full brother the chestnut stallion Royal Gold, both out of Royal Silver. Rakafix and Nafix, Ibn Chimena, Counsler, Buccaneer and the grey stallion out of Chloeyn, Fixeyn.
In 1998 more than forty years after John Rogers imported *Serafix, the importance of his breeding choices in just now being fully realized. The legacy of this man and his horses will be long remembered.
